NOD32 has come out on top of the big guys for years.

It is also not a resource hog, which is the biggest issue I have with the big guys.
Norton Internet security or any thing norton
I have norton and it works but it takes a toll on the ram. I also have windows defender. free from microsoft and it works well too.In my opinion, mcafee is crap I had it first.
McAfee and Norton are old and resting on their laurals. they take over your computer, are ineficient and when you want help, forget it because the customer service (if you can get through) in India doens't know what these companies are up to.

There is a free one that comes with good recommendation, does work and it upgrades itself every day. It also doesn't take over your computer or slow it down with an unecessary heavy program. I can't speak for its customer service because I've never had to use it. However, if you would rather pay for it, fine - you can do that too. (I am still testing it - after 3 months it seems pretty good. I will buy the full version in 2 months if it keeps up.)

Try CyberScrub AntiVirus. It comes with 5 yrs free update subscription.
I really like Spysweeper with Antivirus. You get a very good av (sophos) and an excellent antispyware too. Doesn't hog all of your computer doing it either. I use this on three of my computers and lots of my clients. (I'm a tech.)
