Its nothing, all you need to do is connect to the internet and update it. I use the same anti virus as you.

When the antivirus installation file was packed... the database as of that date was included in the file.. so u need to update it to the latest one.

Sorry to hear you're using Windows and need to get anti-virus sticking plasters.

If your Kaspersky database is outdated, you fix it by updating the database with the latest information. As there are hundreds of new infections for Windows every day, you need to update at least daily.
Kaspersky? that's not a too good antivirus. I recommend u Avira (is free no key reqired) www.free-av.com, but if u want to solve your problem verify if:

- Your internet connection is opened fo updating

- Your registration serial number is correctly written

- Update style is not configured through proxy servers

In the worst case give a manual update. Good luck
Anti-virus definitions ae updated almost daily. Some losers have tossed more bugs out there since the software you installed was made. It just wants you to install the latest updates for it.
it probably means that your anti virus database is out of date so get it updated though you will need internet connection to download it
It requires Virus definitions to be updated , check your Anti virus settings for update
