it's quite efficient this days but less democractic... defends you well but in order to do your work well it forces you to shut it down or replace it with something else

symantec is a company that really gave some good stuff to the cyberworld since early days...i still remember norton commander way before 1st windows was born. then is norton system utilities and ghost... but they rather built a strong antivirus software then an economic one.

I used to have it on my laptop, and it seriously slowed it right down. It used to take over 5 mins to start up. And isn't it snail pace when it scans.
Norton anti virus and symantec is not compatible with my computer. If you have any other type of anti virus, it will make your computer freeze up. I had to remove Norton products or risk my complete system failure.

If you use Norton products, make sure you use only their product brands. Good Luck!!
Norton used to be good once I now use Zonelarm's antivirus and touch wood my Pc has been fine
norton antivirus is garbage.
