I'm thinking, go to their website and look at their updates. Is the updating different for laptops than desktops? You can buy an update, too, I'm sure.

I, personally, would trash Mcafee and get something like Norton or even Avast. Mcafee, to me, is a watchdog that is easily distracted. Think about it, and good luck.
