I hope you installed 7.5 over the top of 7.1 %26 at the start of the install chose the "repair" option when it asked.

I had no problems even with the Firewall enabled. Did you follow the list of instructions carefully - including ticking the "repair" option as opposed to "install" ? If not, then your best bet is to uninstall and reinstall. I assume that if you do that you'll need to install it fully this time (rather than "repair")
did you download the install file to your desktop and run it from there?
Uninstall old version and install the new one. Here you have some other good and free antivirus programs:

Try uninstalling and downloading again, then reinstall.
