The product freezes on installation, lsetup2.exe uses 100% of my processor and it's been like that for an hour. Do I have a faulty product or should I leave it a bit longer?

How old is your PC? If it is quite old, leave it. If it is post 2005, you may have a faulty product. If you don't want norton (which isn't as bad as people say), try AVG. You can get it free or pay for it if you are very security-conscious. It does the job and comes very close to norton.

I was advised to uninstall Norton2007 as it takes up too much memory on the computer and makes it very slow. My present AVG is much better. If you look up security on Yahoo answers you will see all the criticisms of Norton. Hardly anyone recommends it even though BT supply it with their Broadband service. Just search for best antivirus programmes on internet.
Norton, AVG, Avast are free antivirus software.
