Try Download.com. I have Ad-aware. It gets rid of adware and spyware and it is totally free. Same with Asquared. :)

Well i would buy one if i were you, personally i prefer mcAfee. I f you cant afford one then you could get zone alarm firewall i believe that's free. but you really do need a current anti virus to keep up with the latest viruses out there. go to http://www.iopus.com/guides/free-firewal... P.S Don't forget to disable your windows firewall if you have Windows XP service pack 2 because its not clever to have 2 firewalls running at the same time it may cause conflicts

AVG or Anti Virus Guard is free and offers excellent protection. I use it and have had no trouble
