Is their any virus protector out their better then kaspersky anti virus 7.0?

i know nod32 has other strength but does not score as well in the wild and does not update as often but is pretty close does any one think anything is better then kaspersky 7.0 ?

Kaspersky is right there at the top on virus protection. I have seen them all and have seen all of them fail. If you are looking for a higher level of protection, excluding Nod32, I would suggest three alternatives.

Antivir Premium Edition

BitDefender

GDATA Antivirus

All three of these have higher detection ratings than Kaspersky, with GDATA being the "BEST" antivirus (with respect to detection) on the market, with BitDefender and Antivir following behind. GDATA uses two scanning engines, I think Kaspersky and BitDefender (?).

KAV's greatest weakness has always been its heuristic detection. But it's improving greatly. In the latest Retrospective / ProActive Nov 07 test at A-V comparatives.org KAV is much improved but still not in NOD's class yet. Of course KAV's almost hourly updating somewhat lessens the need for world-class heuristic capibilities.
