WOW!! A bunch of misinformed people with the wrong information.

Spybot is only for spyware and adware and it is not that good to begin with. Norton does antivirus, but also it does spyware and adware and malware. It may not be strong in the spyware field, but it does protect against it. The only software from norton i would recommend only is Norton Systemworks. Norton is not a system hog either.

So as an answer to your question, Hands down Norton is better.

Now off the question, I would recommend getting the best software out there, which happens to be Spsweeper With Anti-Virus. This software is too good and gets better everyday. This is ELITE software. It blocks over 179,500 threats. No other software can compete with that or come close for that matter. It catches everything and has active shields. I've used them all and it is 2nd to none. neither, NOD32 - the software hackers and virus makers use to defend themselves from others.
Norton Anti-Virus of course...but if you r going to buy it I suggest to buy the norton internet security, that includes anti virus, anti spam, etc.
You actually need both! Personally , I do not like Norton at all! I use Mcafee normally, but I have been using the free download antivirus called AVG. You need the both spybot does not catch viruses, but catches spyware that sort of sticks itself to your programs and will give you pop ups and other things. Use them both. And use Adware also, that will catch things your anti virus does not.
The best way to find out is through using them yourself.
