You have to completely remove the old version of Norton before installing the BT version.

To do this you first have to download the Norton removal tool.

Just Google Norton removal tool then run it and you will be able to install BT's Norton

go off line

click start

all programs

check for norton products and remove

go to add and remove programs check for norton programs if any delete

re boot computer

install from either cd or on line site
uninstall the other one, run a registry cleaner, then try installing the other. You may need to run it more than once, and reboot between each one
