I have 3 anti virus programs in my computer and each one shows no problem.?

sometimes I press the internet explorer icon for 10 - 15 minutes and I do not connect to the internet. When I eventually do connect and go to yahoo news and read 1 story and go to the next story my computer freezes up and the only option for me is to turn off the comupter and start again and hope everything works. this is a problem which started about 6 months ago.

It's always advisable not to use more than 1 antivirus in 1 machine, especially when all of them realtime antivirus (continuous running in the background). There will be conflicts or hang since they use same resources. Uninstall the other 2 which you considered not good

That is the worst thing you can do to a computer. You are to only have one virus program on your computer. If you have more then one you will have problem. The program will conflict making it hard to detect any infection, yet alone remove one. I would say uninstal two of them, but you may have already damage everything far too much.

So I'm sorry to say, but you probably will have to reinstall windows and start over. This time only one virus program on the computer. You may have as many spyware protection programs as you like, but only ONE virus program.
I hope you don't have all three anti-virus programs running in the background detecting at the same time. If so that could be your problem. They often conflict with each other, and they could be the source of your lockups and slowdowns. Pick your favorite and make sure its the only one starting at boot up.. Check your system configuration by going to Start%26gt;Run and type in msconfig and hit OK. Then click on the startup tab. Uncheck the items you don't wish to start up everytime you boot. (Hint: most of the items aren't necessary just leave the one antivirus program you intend to use.)
