Microsoft Word & Norton Anti-virus?

In reply to the answer posted by b@tgirl which reads -

"Do you by any chance have Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition version 7.x on your computer? Known issue."

Is it true to with Norton in the background, Microsoft Word

tends to react irregularly? I find it very often difficult to load

Ms Word - message is "not responding".

Loading it tends to take a very long time, sometimes 2 minutes

or so.

Any of you have come across this same problem?

Maybe it is time to consider replacing with OpenOffice word

processor!!!

(I think my Ms Word is not original version. I don't know.)

There have been some reports of issues although I have not had any personally. You can go into your Norton settings and disable the Office plug-in

First of all u must hav given details of the version of WORD u r using!!

The one probable thing u can do is disable NORTON %26 run WORD %26 then in the options of the WORD disable virus checking coz WORD b4 opening requests anti-virus software if installed to run scan! I think after disabling this scanning option u'll be able to run WORD even when NORTON is running!!
