firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

norton antivirus. but try superantispyware. no doubts...try searching name and get free download.
I use Avast on my XP-64 machine because it was the only one I could find at the time that would work on a 64bit machine (Norton didnt even install). It works good and haven't had any problems with it and yes it is free.
