I have avg anti virus but i cannot run it,it says the kernal is not installed?

means its either corrupt or something is missing out of it and usually u have to repair it

Uninstall it, run Ccleaner, use the Issues tool then the cleaner; then install it again.

The kernel is the main part o the computer the nucleus, and an antivirus needs to be attached to this ,if it just cant ,you had tried to hack it (like me and kaspersky and nod32 lol) if not just reinstall it
Jewel is correct.
If you can do UPDATE do that to see if problem resolves,

if you are unable to do UPDATE suggest you uninstall avg, do disc clean up - restart computer, reinstall avg and do UPDATE until complete.
