AVG has changed it's format recently. You cannot delete it because it boot's up with the computer. Right click on the icon and choose to close the progarm and then try to delete it.

I use AVG Free by the way and it's an excellent program that updates itself daily. If you want the new version here's the web addy.

It is probably active whenever you are using your computer.

Find the Icon, right-click it and choose (deactivate or remove, or something like that.)

The Icon may be on your taskbar, so it is easy to find, right-click it there.

Once inactive, go to Control Panel-%26gt; Remove Programs, highlight the culprit and click Remove.
